GSA

Well, despite my missing last weeks' GSA meeting, when leadership positions were actually discussed, I think I'm going to put myself out there as a candidate for one of them. I mean, why the hell not? If I don't get it, I don't get it, and someone fantastic will have the position for sure. And if I do... well I'm up for the challenge. Jude has my back, and so do my friends and family. I'm an intelligent, compassionate, creative person, and if that doesn't at least qualify me for a position, well I'm not sure what is required. Part of what spurred me on to make this decision was a girl asking me at lunch if I thought I was going to. I took that as a good sign, rather than whatever else it could be interpreted as.
I figure that if I'm going  start trying to be more out-going, this is a good place to start. I'm taking a few ques, from Brent, though of course, not all of his ques. I'll admit sometimes I think he lacks a bit of tact, but that may also be due in part to my social temerity. We're going to a play this saturday, and I hope he can tone it down just bit... just so he doesn't do cat-calls in the middle of a performance X3 But I feel like a huge dick asking that of him, because he's already really easily... upset? I don't know if that's the right word, but he gets really worried about what I think sometimes. And it just tears me up to see him all self-loathy and such.
Any way, I have a paper about goths to write.
