So, yesterday was "Day of Silence" at my school. We weren't supposed to talk all day, to try and bring attention to the silence that anti-LGBT harassment causes. Sadly there weren't too many people who participated at my school. There are 6 or 7 that I knew of. A lot of people were saying that they didn't do it, because they would never be able to stay quite for so long. But I think the point is trying, I slipped up and talked a few times. Mostly when I was being polite, but that's just what I'm used to doing, being polite D:
One of my friends (Who's rather straight) that participated got asked if she was a lesbian, she shook her head no, but then the people who asked her went off and "whispered" about how she's a lesbian, but hates herself for it. It's that kind of behavior that pisses me off. You don't have to be LGBT to support that kind of thing. Of course then there are the people that just don't accept that kind of thing at all. I think Genderqueer-type people have a really good idea going, of gender neutrality. It would make things simpler. Like using the Xe set of pronouns or the Ze set. You wouldn't have run-ins with not knowing someone's gender anymore, they would just be a person, and you can figure the rest out for yourself.
Anywho, off of that rant, I went out and got some new undergarments. :3 They're pretty.
Oh also, Kick Ass looks amazingly epic. I'm going to see it tomorrow hopefully.
